the gray area between one & two.

if i pressed the fast forward button that is hidden on my left scapula i do not think that i could get life to go by much faster than this.

on august 31st i finished my first quarter at ucsf. during that last week i powered through several finals and had my fair share of drinks and celebratory moments. i was able to keep my head above water and completed the quarter feeling good about the work i had done.

the adventure that as my first quarter paid off with straight "a" grades. i am happy that i did well. but the sarah lawrence in me is a bit sad that matters.

soon after finishing up i headed back to seattle for some much needed down time. while there i did such wonderful things as... celebrate my parent's 60th birthdays with my entire family, attend a beautiful wedding, hang out with grandburt, eat lots of favorite foods, swim in the lake and rivers, play with kittens and see many friends. it was nice to take a break from the busy.

when i returned to sf i learned that i had been awarded a scholarship for "an outstanding student in the school of nursing." i had not applied for any scholarships so this award was a wonderful shock. a grand dance inspiring shock. they might like me, but i think the people that honored me with this gift are the outstanding ones.

i have jumped back into the medical arena and will share more about it soon.
